Submissive peeing ...

Has anyone heard the phrase submissive peeing? I just heard it today.

I have not heard this phrase but I'm thinking this has to be what my Penny does! I always thought she was peeing from being excited but when it happens she usually walks up to the person she's excited to see and rolls on her back, wags her tails and pees! Haha

That's exactly excited peeing, Jeri.

Yup.  It is the term used for those dogs who pee when they get too excited.  It is mostly a puppy thing that is outgrown.  It helps to not greet the dog immediately, not talk in a baby voice.

Haha... Penny loves everyone and it takes little more than eye contact to make her pee! It's funny she's always on her back with her wagging tail slipping in the mess!
