Your Dood's first hair doo...

Cheddar is getting his first haircut a week from tomorrow. I am trying to figure out exactly what I want his face to look like.

I thought it would be fun to see pictures of everyone's first grooming, or even your latest grooming. There are so many great styles to pick from it would be nice to have a bunch of pictures in the same place to help visualize each style.

So please post away, and add any pictures of your dood's hairstyle :)

Yeti had his first grooming done when he was 3 1/2 months old! We had his face and butt trimmed along with a bath/blowout and nail trimming :)

He had his first full blown hair cut last week I believe at around 7 1/2 months :)

Super cute, Cheddar's coat is so long now and we still have hot weather so I am tempted to go shorter if he will be good long enough for a full groom.

I groom my doodles myself, and with Winnie I waited until she was almost a year old for the first groom. Now days, I trim her shorter than the first time...

You do a great job! I can't wait for Cheddar to grow more facial hair, I love the look of Winnie's face and body. I originally wanted to groom Cheddar myself, but met another doodle parent in the neighborhood who introduced me to a groomer that works from home. She has a lot of experience and a whole set up in her garage, so I figured I would use her for now since it is so convenient.

Charlie just got his first haircut at 5 months old. They did not want to do a full grooming since it was his first experience, so we just did the face, paws, butt and belly. The groomer was HIGHLY recommended, so even though I wanted to go in there with a million pictures, I decided to just trust her and that she knew what she was doing. I think he looks great! I will have to mention though that my dad decided to cut some hair above his eye while he was dog sitting for me... he thought he was doing a good thing, but he really screwed his fur up! haha. I just wish he would have asked me first. I know he meant well, it just made me sad for a while. Anyways, she did a really good job blending in the botched part of his head. :)
