Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

So Rosie is getting close to 5 months now and she still doesn't have much of beard, and no brows. She seems to have more facial hair then the other flat coated doodles I see.
So my question. Is it possible that she were still doodle out or is 5 months too old?

I do think she will "doodle out", maybe not for a few months, maybe not until she gets her adult coat, but I think she will.

We fostered an adult labradoodle who was adorable.  She was an owner surrender and he provided a few pictures from her puppyhood.  She did not look doodley at all as a puppy, but as an adult she had that darling scruffy look.  Your puppy reminded me of her and her puppy pictures.  The first is her as a puppy, the second when she was older, and the last when we fostered her at age 5.

Is she the white Doodle in the picture? Then I bet she will grow to look like a kind of white flatcoated retriever. Which is a look I love. I have a business teaching owners to groom their Doodle themselves in a fluffy way and have seen thousands of different Doodle coats. In my book on Doodle grooming and care that's coming out in december, I teach Doodle owners all about this and everything else they want to know. You can tell from the puppy coat what the coat will turn into. But enjoy her. She is lovely! Xxx
She reminds me of my Penny! They have the similar wings on their cheeks! Love the name 'Rosie'...... that is my dacshund's name! Haha
Thanks all for your thoughts.
The breeder claims (in her ads for stud services) that Rosie's father (the poodle) has the proper genes to ensure that his doodles have brows and mustaches.
Then again she said the beard and brow were coming in when we picked her up at 8 weeks. So maybe she just isn't as experienced as she claims.

Rosie reminds me of my pup Watson at that age.  I think she will slowly develop longer facial hair, although it may not grow out as long as some doodles.  Watson is not yet 1.5 yrs yet but he is slowly but surely floofing out a bit.  He has a bit of cheek fluff, beard fluff and across his nose.  The brows are there although not very pronounced. I've trimmed some fur on his nose because we felt like he couldn't see properly
