Should my Doodle wear a winter coat?

It's freezing here in Virginia these days and I was starting to wonder if my Goldendoodle Harvey should wear a winter coat. He isn't shivering and doesn't look cold. He really doesn't seem to mind at all. But when the wind is blowing in his face and it's feels about 1 degree, I feel guilty with my parka and heated vest on! His hair is about just right now, in between short and shaggy. I almost bought a coat today but I'm just not sure whether to spend $80 for something that will just annoy him! Thanks for your help!! Because I was thinking that Charlie needed coat since she is cut short on her body!! So goofy.

Her coat must be more for me, because she LOOKS warm to ME, and comfortable to ME. Hahaha!

I'm reviving this discussion as I'm wondering if anyone has found a coat that covers their doodle's belly, in order to prevent those icy snowballs from sticking there? It seems hard to find one where the belly is mostly covered, too, instead of just a securing strip there.., Thx!

Ruffwear make good coats that cover a lot of the belly and chest :)

Look for a "snowsuit" rather than a coat. There are quite a few of them out there. I know Lisa's Daisy & Dexter wear them. Here's an example:

Cindy, I refuse to shop at Walmart too. Google " Muttluk dog snowsuit" or something like that, you will find it elsewhere.

Thanks, Anne! I love the bottom right pic of the poor pup with snowballs stuck all over her! That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. Would you say this one is "potty friendly?" Doggy shopping is too fun. ;)
