Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
As many of you know, my beloved labradoodle "Paz" was a Pet Partners therapy dog who provided support to the youngest and most vulnerable victims of violent crimes; Paz crossed the rainbow bridge on May 31, 2016. On November 9, I flew to North Carolina to pick up Atticus, who is a male australian labradoodle that is being trained to continue Paz's amazing work at the Brooklyn Family Justice Center where I am Director of Children's Services; we serve victims of domestic violence and human trafficking, and their children. Atticus is now 16 weeks old and has begun his training. By popular demand, I've been bringing Atticus to the Family Justice Center on Fridays, so he can familiarize himself with the unique environment (including courtrooms) in which he will be providing his magical support to the youngest victims of crime. Yesterday, I took these pictures of Atticus, spreading holiday joy at the Brooklyn Family Justice Center...he's not sure about the hat, but tolerated it to keep his mommy happy...The children in the pictures are my colleagues' nieces and nephews, and the adults are my amazing colleagues who work so hard to help victims. Atticus is a beautiful, goofy boy who brings smiles to so many. He's only 16 weeks old, and his temperament is perfect for the sensitive work he will be doing. Love you, Atticus! You will help many young crime victims find their voices to gain the justice they deserve...you are a true blessing! And to my beloved Paz, you will remain in my heart forever....your beautiful spirit is truly guiding Atticus and me as we embark on this new journey to continue your important work and honor your wonderful legacy.....

Thank you for sharing this with us, Charlotte. Atticus looks quite at home in his new workplace, and I'm sure he will do Paz proud!
Thanks Karen.....Atticus struts around the justice center like he has been there forever....obviously, he still is a puppy, but he is remarkable well behaved at the center...seems to know the difference.
Thanks Stella. He is such a huge goofy boy whose tail is always wagging. He is a rambunctious puppy, however, seems to know the difference when he enters the justice center and is remarkably well behaved. He loves meeting new people and his personality is ingratiating.
Such a beautiful boy, inside and out.
Thank you.
Thank you
Thank you.
This is wonderful. I'm so proud of Atticus (and you too) for all you do for these children. I know that Paz is watching and smiling.
Thank you...Atticus has already warmed the hearts of so many!
