We are trying out a NEW way to chat with your labradoodle and goldendoodle loving friends that works more like Facebook's! It is an instant messaging feature and It's in beta testing here so there might still be kinks.

Try it out and play around with it!

At the VERY bottom of your screen you will see an ORANGE bar. On the RIGHT side of it you will see this:

you can click on "Chat" and a screen will pop up listing who is available for chat that looks like this:

Click on the chat bubble next to a name

and a free floating screen will pop up that looks like this and says your chat request has been sent:

--if the person accepts your chat invitation you can then chat with him/her and look around the site and other sites freely. Some may not want to chat right when you are trying it, or might be busy, or might have just left...so try someone for practice. There should also be a SOUND alert when someone is trying to get ahold of you.

Your will be able to create a 'friends list' but unfortunately at this time your DK friends list is not integrated. So it won't pull from your current friends....

Also on any member's page, if they are online, you will see the option to chat with them under their profile photo where it says "IM me!"

You can also use web cam with it!

We will try it for a while and see what everyone thinks!

Hey Adina, great initiative again. Thumbs up. I only don't know how I can create my own friendlist in the chat option.

I know as much about it as you do! I will play with it over the weekend...Just click around and you'll learn as you go.

You will now see an orange bar at the bottom of your screen (was formerly light blue like most of the default DK background) that matches the DK orange...that's where you need to look. You do NOT need to scroll to the bottom of the whole page, only look down at your screen.

When you are chatting with someone you can add them as friend at the bottom of the chat screen.
