Our pup is now 24 weeks old! It seems like her growth is slowing. Our vet thinks she might make it to 40 lbs. Breeder said shes supposed to be around 50 lbs. Can anyone comment on thoughts about her size?

11 weeks- 13.6 lbs
14 weeks- 19.8 lbs
16 weeks- 21.6 lbs
17 weeks- 23.4 lbs

Thanks!

Breeders can only give "guesstimates" on adult weight, with any mixed breed pup. It's very common for doodles to end up 10-20 lbs heavier or lighter than what the breeder thought they might be.
That said, while your dog's growth may have slowed down, all dogs (and people, lol) continue to gain weight in the form of lean mass (muscle and bone) even after their skeletal growth has stopped.
The formula that often works to estimate a puppy's adult weight is to double their weight at 4 months (which is approx. 17 weeks) and then add 5 lbs. Using that formula, your pup may very well end up at 50 lbs or more.
But there are no guarantees with doodles when it comes to size.
At 6 months, Teddy (a Toy/Mini) was just over 11 pounds; at 8 months and change he was just under 12 pounds.
It seems those charts and graphs posted by Karen and others are very accurate. If anything, it appears that Teddy (and some other dogs, mostly Minis) are approaching more than the minimum of their final weight by 6 months.
Of course, I'll know for sure in a few more months ! LOL
Frank, the smaller the dog, the sooner it reaches maturity. Teddy is pretty much done growing at 6 -7 months and growth after that will be very minimal.
