Opinions on Chewy.com's new American Journey food line

I noticed that Chewy.com has recently released their own grain free food line called "American Journey." I would love for our food gurus to chime in with what they think about it.

Has anyone tried it yet?

There's not much information out there about the sourcing and manufacturing of this food. Chances are pretty high that's a "private label" food: one that's made by a third party and then Chewy's label goes on. The exact same food might be being sold under a dozen or more different "names", i.e. labels. We've recently heard about some pretty scary recalls involving a private label formula that was being sold under two different names, so until we can get more info on that, I wouldn;t recommend it.

The nutritional info looks fine. We need to know about sourcing and manufacturing.

I need to start keeping a notebook to remind me to look into some of the new foods that people ask about; I totally forgot, lol. JD has his annual vet visit today, but I am going to make a note about this and do it soon!

Well, it may be moot. I just heard what I can't view as anything other than catastrophic for chewy customers:

chewy.com was just bought out by PetSmart for the largest sum ever paid for an internet buyout: 3.35 billion dollars. I'm afraid this probably means good-bye, wonderful prices and customer service. :(((((

I also use Petflow. Their service has been good too

That is bad news, I love Chewy. I don't see how they will be any where near as good after this buy out.
