These were taken near and at Riverside National Cemetery during a parade honoring our veterans. Firefighters and veterans - you can't get any more 'heroish' than that.

When I see a photo similar to that first with ALL those flags, it takes my breath away and bring tears to my eyes. So many lives lost for our freedom.

I'm so grateful to live in a country where my grandchild is free to be a child. I hope her entire childhood can be as carefree and happy as she is here.
