Any ideas on cleaning all those balls of snow on their feet and legs every time they go in and out? Fergie is having so much fun but she's worse than a kid - in and out, in and out. All full of snow. I have to say it is so adorable though.

Keera has a soft dog bed/pad I put down in front of the fireplace. It has waterproof backing on it and absorbs the drips. I have Keera do a "down stay" on the pad by the warm fire and she licks herself and falls asleep there. I will take the hairdryer out if it is to bad.
I have my son carry Keera to the tub several times a day when it is muddy out. I know this can be a pain but I have white carpet in some areas of the house.
I was on another site and someone had told what they do about this. She said when they come in from playing in the snow she puts socks on her dogs feet. That way he can still go through the house but doesn't leave puddles, the socks absorb the melting snow. She had a pictures and it was so cute. Long socks she just pulls up the dogs leg. She said in about 5 minutes you can take them off and the feet are dry.

Now, I haven't tried this so I don't know if Sadie would let them on but it's a thought. Right now we don't have the wet, packing snow, it's too cold, so it hasn't been that big of an issue for me.
This is a really cute idea. I'm going to try it. I'll use all th mismached socks that i have piles of. Thanks for the tip. Where'd you see that? I'd like to see the pic. You're right though - no problem at the moment with it being so cold but come early spring, could work good.
It was on another forum I belong to, here is the link to the discussion

Hope that link works. Here is the picture she posted.

That is too funny. That dog has the same exact look Fergie gives me when I do something silly with her. Mom - what are you doing to me now? Someone save me. Or - sometimes I think she wants me to "get a life".
Oh the snow...the dryer or the warm water for sure...depends on how bad they get!! Ann is also VERY correct on the trimming. I just got my dogs groomed last week (I keep my doodles short) and the snow has been MUCH easier to handle and less "balling" so to speak!!
