My husband texted me this morning that he found our mischievous pup, Hamilton under the bed eating an earplug. He got it out of his mouth but is not sure if he managed to eat another one before finding this one. Anyone have this happen to their pup? Should I be super concerned?

Here is the culprit, using a slipper as his appetizer :)

I'd keep an eye on him. It sounds like it should be small enough to pass, but foam in the GI tract can be a big problem, as it's indigestible and also absorbs fluids. Watch for any signs of nausea or vomiting, loss of appetite, or changes in bowel habits.

I wouldn't be super concerned, but I would definitely check his poo to see if it passes through and monitor his behavior.  I use earplugs and mine don't appear to absorb fluid when dropped in water, but they are intact.

I agree, just watch him.

Thanks everyone! He seems fine now, I think he only chewed it and didn't ingest. :)

Glad to hear it, thanks for the update!

Thanks for updating us.  I am glad he is fine.

I find earplugs in my dogs' poop now and then.  They really don't grow a whole lot.
