Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Today is five years since we brought Meg home.  I am constantly amazed that her first two families passed her on and she ended up in a rescue situation.  Amazed but secretly happy they did, what a treasure to pass up.  Well, she is a gold medal shedder and that is kind of a pain but once you give up wearing black it is not so bad! She has filled our home with so much energy and love that I can not imagine never having her.  Last Saturday was actually four years since we brought Polly home so she could have company.  They are super bonded, neither has ever been the alpha, it is like they split up what each is dominant over and there is never a question about it.

Time has flown by since we brought each of them home and I just can not get enough of them.  Just having a love surge and wanted to share.

What a cute pair!   Happy Gotcha Day!!

Love this photo. Enjoy your girls.

Happy Gotcha Day, and many, many more!

Beautiful girls and thank you for sharing your story.  How wonderful you found each other - perfect matches!

I'm so happy for your dogs and for you.  A perfect little family!

What's Gotcha Day?  Is it the day you brought your new dog home?

Yes. Because we often don't know a rescue dog's birthday, we have Gotcha Days. Nice for those of us who adopted adults instead of puppies, too.

We know Picco's birthday but we also celebrate Gotcha day. Have to honor the sweet doodle whenever we can!

So happy for you!  I also had a rescue dog "Lucky" that I couldn't believe anyone could give up.  He was the best dog ever.  I'm sure they both found their best forever homes.

Happy Gotcha Day!!!!   Happy Doodles, Happy Family!
