Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

It's been a minute since I've posted here but I wanted to share this story with you all.

About 6 months ago we added to our doodle clan. I had come across this dodo impact video of this beautiful golden doodle puppy that had been abused by her owner. At 10 weeks she had been kicked so had her knee was shattered and her leg had to be amputated.

We were very lucky to be grated her new custodians and loving parents but the big news here is that she will be starring in the Animal Planets Puppy Bowl this Feb 4th. She is very happy and healthy now and her missing leg does not hold her back from being a regular puppy one bit.

I hope you'll all get the chance to see her perform. It WAS a lot of work on us and her both.

Beautiful!

What a happy ending after a sad beginning.

I am so happy for your puppy and for you. Thank you for giving her a loving home.

Such a lovely story and what a beauty!

I had already shown my husband this picture last week because I was so excited a doodle was in the Puppy Bowl! I did not realize she was missing a leg ! Sounds like you love her very much and you are wonderful for giving her love and attention!

What a beautiful girl! I will never understand how someone could ever hurt a puppy like that! She was so lucky to have met a wonderful family that took the time and worked with her.  You can see how happy she looks in that picture. I will watch for her on Animal Planets. I love happy endings. Thanks for sharing❤️

Thank you! We DO love her very much. It has been interesting having a puppy in the house again. Stella is now 10 and Seattle will be 9 shortly, they were both born “old ladies” and Sophie has added a new dynamic to the house.
She has big plans to become a therapy dog and work with other domestic violence victims as well as amputees in the future. So the story will continue.

This is wonderful and she is a doll. Thanks for opening your heart to her!

Congratulations on getting your puppy and also thank you for seeing beyond her 'disability' to the great dog that I am sure she is.  I will be sure to check out the link.

Congratulations on your new family member.  She is beautiful!

She is simply gorgeous.  Thank-you for giving her a super great live full of love & happiness!

I just saw Sophie featured on page 96 in this week's People Magazine! Very exciting to see a celebrity I knew, lol!
