Your thoughts please

My puppy is 6 months and 21 days old.  I know at some point I will need to cut his puppy hair off.  I am trying to prepare myself for this change.  Any thoughts on what his hair will look like trimmed?  This is him after a bath-- my baby!!  ** the White is the puppy hair as it dries, the apricot is the underneath hair before brushed and dried.

I think your pup's coat resembles my Ned's in color and curl and puppy softness.  Ned's coat is more cottony than soft or silky as an adult, but his amount of curl has stayed the same.  Two photos - one of Ned as a pup and one of him today at age 9. You can click on the photos to make them big enough for you to see the coat. I would advise you to get him used to a groomer now as well as letting the groomer trim the eyes and sanitary.

He is so cute!!  Yes they do look similar! 

He has been to the groomer twice, once at 3 months and once at 6 months.  He does very well and he is brushed nightly also.  I have a great groomer, been using him for 12 years with my other doodles.  My others are not goldendoodles so it is such a treat to have his soft, fluffy hair compared to my labradoodles rough, wavy coat.
