I just had to share this from when I picked up Hamilton from daycare Friday! He must have played in the rain because I barely recognized him when they brought him out to me! I couldn't believe how curly he looked. This is by far the most he's resembled a doodle since he was just a tiny pup! Below is a picture of what he normally looks like (giving me his usual welcome home hug) followed by the post rain curls! Too funny!

Whenever Katie is groomed she comes back looking like a fluffy puff ball. The grooming people say if you spritz them with water you get their curls back. But Katie is so much easier to brush as a puff ball that I just leave her. Eventually it rains on her or she jumps in the lake and I get her curls. But maybe Hamilton just needs to get wet once in a while to bring out all that doodley goodness.

Maybe! Usually he looks 100% Retriever so I was surprised to see these curls!

Oh my goodness.  What is the time difference between these two days?  Wish I could have seen his back in the first photo.  How old is he.  It really looks like coat change to me as that typically starts down the middle of the back.  He is stunning.

Oh thank you so much. We got lucky with him, he is soo smart and the sweetest dog my husband and I have ever known. We do not have any children yet so he's totally our first born and completely spoiled. Hamilton is 10 months old as of today actually! His back normally looks like the picture below- this was taken right before he got fixed on Feb 2nd- He's checking in at the vet ;) ha! Some wave to him but nothing like the pictures above!

That curliness when wet was exactly what my female golden retriever would always look like!! And his "straight" look is what she looked like when she wasn't wet as well!
