Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello everyone! My black mini goldendoodle seems to be f2, which I have read is non traditional since their coats are less predictable. She is now 11weeks old in the pictures I added and will be 12 weeks March 1st. She appears to have waves on her ears and the roots of her hair looks permed like tiny zig zags but looks straight without further examination. Her ears also look like they’re turning brown in the sunlight. Love her to bits, but it would be interesting to see what the experienced doodle owners have to say!

What do you mean when you say she seems to be an F2? Do you know what her parents were? My first thought was 1) Oh that face 2) She is so cute 3) Love the curly tail 4) Is she really a GoldenDoodle? Sorry. Coats are funny and sometimes surprise me. She is still really really young and it could change a whole lot before she is an adult. It will be fun to watch her grow up.
Hi!! Thanks so much for the comment. Here are pictures of her parents. Since I got her from someone who was getting divorced and couldn’t keep her, I am not fully confident if her “Ckc papers” are real. The paperwork says my Elsie is a mini goldendoodle and that her parents were as well making her an f2. She was 3.3 lbs at 8 weeks and hasn’t hit 5lbs yet. Her parents #s are on the paperwork but there isn’t a way for me to use that number to search for their CKC accounts
I am not THE authority but I’ve been around doodles for a decade- mine and rescue. I don’t think your adorable puppy is totally a goldendoodle. The ear set is off and coupled with everything else- size, coat, tail, I think she has some other genes mixed in. Now after I said this, you need to go to Jolene, Sasperilla, and Josie ‘s page. Josie is a labradoodle and is mostly lab and poodle WITH some greyhound too. Jolene did DNA testing on her because she does not have the traditional doodle look. The ears showing some brown could be because she is chocolate. Some chocolates look black at first. Or the sun may be lightening the tips of her fur. She really is an adorable little bundle - so tiny.
Hi, thanks for your response. That’s interesting that you said that, her papers could easily be fake since I never met the breeders so she may not truly be purebred. All I know is that she is small and cute! I will make sure to check out their page.

And - papers are not much in doodledom because they are mutts. :-} I think ancestry is very fun on pets and people, but there is no way to verify that what the breeder gave to the previous owners is more than made up or more than their dogs (who's own ancestry could be in question). She really is any adorable puppy; she melts your heart.
I totally agree with you, I guess we will just have to see what she ends up looking like!
She’ll be cute. She has good proportion and an adorable face. Her ears are precious. I hope you
keep posting update photos.
