Blade sharpening

How often do you find that you need to have your blades sharpened? Cooper has a thick, wool coat which seems to dull the blades quickly. I have an Andis clipper and blades.

Ours has a thick wool coat as well.  I just buy new blades every so often.  I should probably figure out how to sharpen them but I have to be honest that I justify it by telling myself that I'm still saving tons of money vs taking her to a groomer.
