No idea LOL - but he looks so soft & fluffy <3

It seems a bit early, but the coat change might be starting, especially if you see a different coat coming in - usually curlier. This is a time that mats can really sneak  up on you.  Make sure you are using a quality brush and also a comb and get all the way to the skin. On the other hand, it is spring and shedding dogs lose their winter coat about now. Again brush and comb often, it will help you keep up with the shedding. One of my doodles sheds and I have dust bunnies everywhere.

I do see more curl than before. Whether he sheds or not, it is lovely!

He’s a standard and I have noticed some Matts here and there and we just brush them out. Thank you we love him to pieces!

The reason I asked is that smaller dogs mature sooner. It probably is too soon for ‘the’ coat change and more likely seasonal.

Annabelle has never shed, not even when going through her coat change. But it was right around 6 months that I really had to be diligent with her brushing, as she really started to mat bad. So I think that was the beginning of her coat change. Finally the groomer just had to shave her down, I couldn't keep up, it got out of hand.
