Where can I go to check out the reviews on a breeder that I found? The name is: Pride and Prejudoodles. They are located in Virginia?  If they are not certified, is it best to stay away (they might be a puppy mill)? Just wondering how I can know for sure.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Karen! If I end up with a dog the quality of my friends' dogs, I will be very happy, but I know it's good to do research.

I do know my friends saw parents' health info in person (one in particular is adamant about doing things the 'right' way and she raves about them). And her dog doesn't shed either. (And I didn't want to purchase a dog without visiting them first because I've heard too many horror puppy mill stories online)

Anyway, sorry for blowing up an old post. I just really liked these people and felt bad that they were getting bashed online. Cheers!

Kelly, nice people can be bad breeders. One has nothing to do with the other. The breeding program is substandard, and that is what was being criticized, not the people themselves.

Okay, so after a little investigating, it turns out that this breeder has not done any OFA genetic tests on her breeding dog. Instead, she uses an Embark DNA test kit which can be purchased online through chewy.com as well as many other retailers, and has absolutely nothing in common with actual OFA/CERF/Penn testing for hips, elbows, eyes, etc.
I knew something sounded fishy.
