We live in the city and go to a very popular dog park regularly. There are two plastic kiddie pools that owners fill up and allow their dogs to bathe in and drink. I can't even begin to describe how disgusting it gets. Dark, foggy still water with urine. Our dog, among others, have gotten sick from it. Our Sam tries to goes in especially when he's found a buddy who's soaking in it. We constantly have to pull him out. We empty the pools but then some owners get angry and fill it back up. It seems they're not concerned by the sanitary issues. I understand it's a public park, but every dog should be able to use it safely. Thinking of petitioning the city to have them removed. Am I wrong here?

I have been taking Truffle to a Manners class (no real success noted yet, LOL) put on by our local Animal Humane Society. At the end of each class there is puppy free play time which she absolutely loves. They have a kiddie pool there (as we do at home). I have never seen any evidence at home that she pees in our pool, but EVERY FRIGGING TIME at free play time, after she has jumped in & out of the pool there for a few times, she all of a sudden decides she has to pee. No other puppy has done this. We (well actually the 10-year-old-boy who comes with his parents) dump the pool & refill with fresh water.

Thankfully Truffle just does this once & then plays normally in the pool for the rest of the session. LOL

She's my spirit sister. Every single time I turn the water on to start washing dishes! There's something about the water...
