I know this was mentioned and basically discarded, so I'm posting this here.  We tested all of our dogs, and all three are low.  Our golden doodle is 118 (whole blood), which is critically low.  I have always fed the foods recommend on this site.

So frustrating!  I like that Dr. dodds advised everyone to send in test results, even if they are negative. Right now, if there is only self-reporting then probably only positive results are being sent in, creating almost a false positive / markedly skewing the numbers. This is no way to conduct 'research'.

I think it's amazing how successful they are in creating mass hysteria. There have been several times I've had to stop, take a deep breath, and think instead of running to the group with panicked cries of, "is my dog food still okay? I'm not killing the girls am I?" And I know better. I feel like we see this in human stories all the time - first too much coffee is bad for you, now it's going to help us live forever. Red wine too. And I'm not sure that we pay all that much attention (I know I don't. I don't even read the articles because I don't want to know what it says I'm not supposed to eat or drink.) But we've lost our minds over this. And if it's all (mostly) propaganda that just stinks.

For the record, our dogs tested 181 (retest), 182, and 154.  We will see cardiology this week.

I made an effort not to mention what we were feeding, and to keep my statements factual versus speculative. There is information available elsewhere, so I'll refrain from bringing any further attention to this matter on this site, as it quickly devolves. Thank you for all your help Karen, I appreciate all the time and research you put into your statements.

Melissa, please do keep us posted on what the cardiologist says and anything else that occurs with your dogs. I hope they all end up perfectly well and healthy.
