Stacy, I take a hundred photos and might get a single one that is a keeper - not necessarily even a calendar shot though.  Getting the eyes is my biggest challenge. I have some very cute photos of one or another of my doodles - if you liked black holes for eyes or if I get the eyes, one is has hair blocking it, or in Ned's case, he is squinting. LOL.

The eyes are impossible! I gave up long ago with Katie. Black dog, black eyes. I can never get any details on her pretty face. I do have a few where she has eyes, but not many. At least Maggie is light colored. She should be easier.

Mags needs a good grooming right now. We have an appointment. There doesn't seem to be much point in taking pictures right now. She has a bad case of disappearing eyes. Though, maybe we should be practicing. I also think maybe I need a different camera. Maybe it's operator error, but the one I have only has an LCD screen and I think I miss a viewfinder.

Eye transplants are not out of the question. :>) Using your flash in the daylight sometimes gives the eyes the little help they need without over exposing the rest of the photo. You also don't get that weird yellow eye when you use the flash in the day.

In the camera, I thought this was going to be Charlie's calendar shot.  Uh.... not. He has no eyes at all.....  It was the last day of our trip and he was desperately in need of a major grooming.

Oh he is so adorable!  You could send me these pictures ...with some that have "clear" eyes of Charlie and we might be able to do something like this...if you like it....

I think he's adorable too!  And this is a good photo

Thank you DonMarie.  I love when they flop down so flat.  I messaged you, Joani.  I love what you did. Magic.

I took photos of Scarlet on a recent camping meet up with her owner, Terri.  Pretty much all  of the photos I took have black holes for Scarlet's eyes.  Can they be fixed for possible calendar submission?

I did a quick job on the first picture...someone can do much better  I'm sure...but yes, it's possible to bring the eyes to live...

Wow - no black holes on Scarlet..... Great job!

Hi! So exciting!! I can’t find the Facebook group to join. Help please ?!?

I'm not sure what you want to join, Rena. To submit photos for the calendar?  That will be on this site. There will be an announcement on the front page and most likely an e-mail with directions.  This will be September 1st.

There is a photography group here where people are posting and critiquing and assisting others with their photos.  At the top go to Groups, then Photography Group.
