Riley the bernedoodle

Hi,

We've chosen our next dog!  She's a 5-week old bernedoodle (Bernese mountain dog/standard poodle) - coming home in late September.  We wanted something really different from Luna (F1 mini goldendoodle) since our hearts are still broken from her passing.

I know Luna never had the tufts around her eyes and she was a flat-coated goldendoodle so I'm predicting at least "scruffy" for this little one.  I looked at some pictures of Bernese puppies and she only looks slightly fluffier than one of those so I don't think she will be curly.

What do you think?

8 weeks - 12.3 lbs / 5.6 kg

10 weeks - 14.7 lbs / 6.7 kg

14 weeks - 22 lbs / 10 kg

16 weeks - 30 lbs / 14 kg

20 weeks - 40 lbs / 18 kg 

7 months- 50 lbs / 23 kg

Here she is at 8w :)  

Her ears are pretty curly and she's generally very "fluffy" all over.  Not much wave at all on her body hair, I haven't seen any loose hairs coming off her though but it's a puppy coat so who knows.  Her paws are also HUGE.  Definitely at least the size of Luna's were when she was fully grown.  

She was listening to daddy mowing the lawn ;)  Fed her a constant stream of kibble and she seemed more curious than scared which is great!

Thank you!  We are pretty happy we got her (she was our first choice) since we were third pick.

Beautiful girl!   She looks so big already.  It's going to be fun watching her grow!

We are pretty sure she is going to be a giant fluff monster :p  She's about the size of an adult cat.

First vet visit is today so we'll see how much she weighs.
