Probiotic Advice Please!

Hi, I’ve always used Proviable DC for Jaxson when needed but now that we’ve moved to Hawaii, I am having a hard time getting it. Amazon won’t ship it, probably because it is supposed to remain under 77 degrees. Is there anything else you can recommend?

The local pet store has Honest Kitchen Pro Bloom, something by Primal and N’Zymes Bac Pac. I don’t know what Petco has.

Do you know anything about these? I am going to try to call Nutramax in the morning to ask if I can get Proviable somewhere locally. I wrote them an email last week but haven’t heard back.

I would appreciate any help you can give me! Jaxson has an upset tummy now and the vet gave me 7 packets of PattFlora but that’s all I have.

Will Chewy ship to Hawaii? They carry Proviable.

There's a probiotic called Vetri-Mega from VetriScience Labs which is good. Also iFlora, made by Sedona Labs.

I found the Vetri Mega on Amazon and they will ship to me. And it sounds like it is stable at temperatures above 70 until it is opened. Thank you so much!

I can't find any information about PattFlora regarding the number of CFUs or the exact ingredients, but I'd guess it's better than nothing if you can't get any of the others I mentioned.

No, Chewy will not ship here. If either of the other 2 options you gave can be shipped without regard to temperature, I might be able to get it shipped. Going to look at those options too. Thanks so much again!

In the “better than nothing” category, the recent finding that man and dog had similar biomes....people pro-biopics would do in a pinch.

Maybe add plain unflavored yogurt to whatever you can get?

Thanks for all the help! I was thankfully able to order Vetri Mega from Amazon. Am using the stuff from the vet in the meantime with yogurt. Of course Amazon Prime isn’t the same here, it doesn’t come overnight! I should get it by the end of the week.

But I do miss the So. California doodle romps! Believe it or not, there is an active Honolulu doodle group here that meets monthly. Lots of doodles, we’ve been averaging well over 30 attending monthly!

Don’t know how people lived here before Amazon!
