Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell? It smells soooo bad someone ate something they weren’t supposed to and ended up throwing up in their crate I’ve washed it with dawn and scrubbed it, but the smell is still lingering

Did you try one of the enzymatic cleaners? Should work on vomit like urine and stool. But otherwise I think it will eventually air out, it just needs time. All smells eventually go away ;)
Yes, you need an odor neutralizer. I use Nature's Miracle.
Bleach works pretty well on hard surfaces, too.
I definitely prefer the smell of bleach to Nature's Miracle. I don't mind the Naure's Miracle in the orange bottle as much though. It smells like oranges and has oxy clean in it.
Funny, I've been using Nature's Miracle for almost 30 years and I don;t think it smells like anything.
But to me, bleach is the cleanest smell there is.
Smells and how different people experience them is so interesting! For me Nature's Miracle overpowers everything! It's this weird fake sickly sweet, and it never goes away. Once I put it on the carpet I can smell it forever. And I can smell dog pee at 100 feet. But I have a friend who wears perfume, and if I had a dollar for every time someone said, "you smell good." when I was standing next to her I could retire. But I can't smell it at all. The perfume doesn't exist to me.
That's the exact opposite of what I experience, lol.
Too funny. I'm with you on the bleach though. We use Sani Wipes at work. Basically alcohol. I also love the smell of a good Sani wipe.
I haven’t tried anodize neutralizer yet do you think vinegar will work?
I would give it a try, couldn't hurt. I think Karen is right though, bleach might be just the thing. And it isn't toxic. We don't even get excited when children drink it (I am not recommending that though)
I don't think vinegar is good for getting rid of odors.
Vinegar works pretty well for me for general smell "maintenance" (I use it in the pre-wash for bath towels and doggie blankets regular maintenance washing) but not so well for set-in odours and stuff you can't also throw in the washer on hot.
"Cleaning vinegar" (10% acetic acid) works better than regular vinegar though it's quite acidic and can damage certain surfaces if you're not careful.
Bleach is my go-to as well for worse odours but I do use Nature's miracle first for anything pet-related.
We had a discussion about this here a while back. I am absolutely baffled that anyone would use vinegar for cleaning, because of the smell of the vinegar, lol. It smells like pickles! Not what I would call a clean smell by any stretch of the imagination.
Now, seeing this here again, I wondered if there was something wrong with me, so I googled it. And low and behold, I am not alone in thinking that vinegar smells, and not in a good way, lol.
