I took the plunge & signed Truffle up for Health Paws ... hope I made the right decision!

It's a good company. You will never regret having pet insurance, even if you never use it.

I've got Healthy Paws for all 3 of my dogs, and couldn't be happier with them. The app makes it so easy to send claims- just take a picture of the itemized receipt and send it! They are very quick with processing claims, too.

Karen & Lori - good to hear that you have good experiences or vibes. I thought I remembered from a thread over the summer that Karen had decided to go with HP; the Australian Labradoodle Facebook group also had a recent group of posts where the folks seemed to recommend either HP or Nationwide. But Nationwide didn't seem to have as good of a comparison rating as HP.

Truffle is now 8 months & {knock on wood} we haven't had any issues, planning for the future is what insurance is all about. We never had any for my golden retriever who lived to be 13, but the last few years we struggled with what to do about bad knees & arthritis; probably wouldn't have struggled so much if we had had pet insurance. The trick will be how much the premiums go up after a few years.

I ended up going with Pet Plan. It was a toss up between Healthy Paws and Pet Plan; both are highly rated.
