Leo Francis Coat Predictions?

This is Leo Francis, the F1 14 week Standard Goldendoodle. The top picture is when he woke up from a nap (13 weeks) Below that is a full body picture where he looks curlier than he does in person. The other photo in the grass is when he was 10 weeks but he was sooo adorable (still is) What are your cout preditions and does anyone happy a similar looking puppy (or did) Alsowondering beacuse he has a the fur along his middle back that runs from his head to tail is coarser fur and is darker, and is sparser. Did anyone else experience that. Thank you!!

Hi Emma!

Not sure of his future but I’m picking up my new F1 Goldendoodle this weekend and he looks just like him from the pictures the breeder has shown me. Getting him Saturday! We’ll have to share pics soon. October B-Day?

Awesome, and congrats on getting a puppy! Leo was actually born late August and we have had him for 5 weeks now. I can't wait to see more pictures, from looking at you profile picture, Leo was less fluffy around that age, but got fluffier after the last few weeks. I think your puppy will be super cute (but they all are)

He's going to have a wavy coat. The coarser hair may disappear as he ages.

I agree - definitely wavy!

That coarser "stripe" is something some of them get and it blends out/fades with age.  Luna had it too.

He is adorable. Truly adorable. The stripe down the back is perfectly normal. It’s called hemp and is a normal stage for most doodles. It eventually disappears. He’s going to have that perfect (to me) doodle look.

Thank you! I was just curious about the stripe, and you cleared it up. Appreciate the kind words, I'm biased but I feel the same about that doodle look.

Oh my gosh...what a cutie!  :)  He looks like my Maggie's sister Gracie.  If you look at my page there is a picture of them after they finished playing (so they're a little muddy) at 5 mos.  Gracie is adorable...she's shaggy, easily mats, but is the cutest!  You can kind of see that stripe on her in the picture...it has faded, she's beautiful!

I just looked at the picture, and they are both cuties! I can totally see the resemblance between Leo and Gracie. I'll have to pay close attention to matting.
