Goldendoodles NOW have a National Registry

Labradoodles have had a few registries in the past (think AKC breed club but for doodles without the 'show')

Now goldendoodles have a registry too! The Goldendoodle Association of North America (GANA) has launched and is open for membership. I don't know everything about it, but I appreciate that breeder members will have to abide by a code of ethics and will be required to have certain health clearances on all breeding dogs. GANA will be open for membership to GD owners in the future, but you'll have to check their website for more info on what that will entail/benefits, etc:

Hi Karen,
We are still a very long way off from having a standard. It will be more for those who are or will be breeding multigenerational goldendoodles. F1 goldendoodle litters will always be registered and celebrated for their great diversity. That's the wonderful thing about goldendoodles. There's a little something for everyone. :o)

I would love to be a breeder, but do not know anything about it though. Someday after I retire, maybe I will ge the time to do all the researching I need to do and be able to get into it. I don't want to be one of those, Oh I think I want to have a litter of Goldendoodles, and not know what I am doing. So, I will be watching the site for my future endeavors. I'm the registrar for GANA. Adina was kind enough to offer an invite for us to make a page here to highlight those wonderful goldendoodles. So I've made myself a page, still not sure how you find me though. LOL

I'm so impressed with all of the great resources that Doodle kisses has to offer. Adina... fabulous job!! :)

I want to have contests and there's currently a puzzle on the GANA site. We have just launched so it's a building process. The one thing I'm absolutely sure of.... the ladies that make up the board of GANA are so invested in preserving this wonderful breed and want only the very best for it's future.
