Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Were looking to adopt! Hopefully another doodle, maybe a mini? Somewhere between maybe 1 and 6? Currently have an 8yo 85lbs Chocolate Labradoodle who has never met a stranger (a guard dog he is not). I know there is a link to a site on one of the pages here but we fail one requirement in that I have a 6 yo son. Like me he was born into a house with a dog and learned very early acceptable behavior.

If anyone has any leads, we would appreciate it. With previous adoption experience, many references including our vet, we'll be more than happy to provide what ever information that would be required.

Oh my how do you prevent your doodles for eating things they shouldn't like socks!!  Any suggestions? I need to warn my daughter because she has a habit of throwing her socks around.  A habit she didn't get from me.

She's simply going to have to stop doing it. She's old enough to understand that, lol.

You just have to remove the opportunity by keeping things away from them while they are young or keeping them tethered or crated so they can't get to things.  The same goes for counter surfing in larger dogs... as soon as they get rewarded by finding something tasty deterring them doesn't help much because they will try again anyway just in case another reward is there.

thanks.  Extreme puppy proofing is needed.  LOL
