Our cream doodle never has tear stains. Never.  He does have stains around his mouth but less so once we quit feeding him a food that had beets. Our apricot guy, has developed and eye 'thing' and he always has lots of eye goop. Stains - maybe a little.  Our parti boy has dark around his eyes so IF he had staining, it wouldn't show.   Close up of Clancy's non tear stains and dirty beard.

My friend is a breeder and really does a lot of work in color genetics. She thinks this little guys going to fade all the way down to a silver beige. It will be interesting to watch!
