Hi,

I have a strange question.  Nala went to the vet for her yearly check up.  She got the lepto vaccine.  Just that.

I noticed that ever since the vet visit, she has been biting at her paws.  She has never done this.  Nothing else changed, same food, same environment, didn’t travel, etc.

Could this be a coincidence that she got that shot and then the biting?  I looked at her skin and it’s fine.

Douxo Calm. There are several good shampoos for allergies and itching in the Douxo line.

Roxy bites all four paws and her rear. It was getting so blood that she was leaving blood on furniture. She was diagnosed with contact dermatitis. She is now on a daily prescription and the biting has stopped.

Hi

We got lucky with Nala.  It was only for 2 weeks and then gone.  No more biting or itching.  We used Allegra for the 2 weeks when she was itching and it worked very well for her.

That's great news!!!!

Thanks Karen :)
We were so happy it didn’t become an issue for her.  Her hair on her legs are all filled in.  And (knocking on wood) no more itchies.

I am going to wait on the lepto vaccine next year when it is due, just to satisfy my curiousity.   I figure if she starts itching again in May, it had nothing to do with it.

Thanks as always for all of your help.  You are just outstanding :)

Thank you for the kind words. :)
