Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello! I have put a deposit down on an upcoming litter for an F2B goldendoodle. Mom is an F1 English cream goldendoodle. Dad is an F1B. Both are absolutely beautiful! I have he 6th pick so options will be quite narrow. I currently have a female doodle. She is friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs. I’ve had 2 female dogs for years until we lost our 16 year old dachshund last week. In my experience there always seemed to be one girl that didn’t really like the other or not have any interest in playing with the other. . We never really had to worry about them fighting although one would occasionally snap at the other. I’m considering a male pup this time, Is it true that males and females are more likely to get along? I have heard that 2 females are more likely to have conflict. I understand that finding a submissive vs dominant pup is also a factor.

Also, any tips for coat  selection for better possibility of low to non-shed? I know this can be hard to predict when they are so young. I have attaches a pic of the beautiful parents ❤️

Because for me the gamble and anticipation is part of the fun with doodles!

That's very true!

It is!  I was convinced Riley would never be curly, her hair was so straight as a pup, but here we are with a sheep!

A sheep! Haha! Either way, by looking at these 4 guys I’m guaranteed a beautiful pup! I can’t wait to see how this plays out!

Good observation.  I agree.  If you like curly then a poodle is your dog.  Lol.  My daughter  keeps asking me about Koda because she don't care for the poodle look.  She wants to make sure that Koda has the doodle look and not a poodle look.  I told her I am no expert. Doodles are  like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get!!  If Koda ends up being a white poodle, she'll still be loved.  LOL

Show your daughter these pictures and ask her what kind of dog they are:

wow I can't tell.  LOL

So many people think they don't like the way Poodles look, but Poodles can look just like doodles, and vice versa; it's just the haircuts.

thanks for the examples.

Hint: They are all the same purebred breed, lol.

:-}

The day has come! The puppies are gorgeous, and all very doodly! The entire litter has beautiful furnishings. We decided on the lightest color boy. He’s the biggest of the litter. He looks a lot like his pretty mama! He either has a very calm nature or was very tired today! Haha!
