Tired of the same food

I think this is an easy question. I think Maggie is tired of her food. She's been eating the same thing for a long time, and she's kind of blah on it. She's my most reluctant eater anyway.

She's eating Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Boost Beef. She's much more interested in the other girl's Fromm Whitefish and Potato. For Maggie's next bag of food should I just try the Instinct Raw Boost Chicken? Or should I transition her over to Fromm with the other two? She's done very well on what she's eating, she just doesn't want to eat it.

I'm thinking the Instinct Chicken, but at the same time it would be so easy if they all ate the same thing. The Fromm has grains, the Natue's Variety doesn't. The Nature's Variety is significantly higher calorie. I know I'm overthinking, but her next bag of food is going to auto ship, so I have to decide.

It's just so weird. They're on the good list. I tell Maggie they're on the good list. They smell like something I think dogs should like, but she just doesn't want them.

Riley is basically more excited about eating grass/weeds/sticks than treats...we think she may in fact be a very large goat.  

She still finds her kibble exciting though so our next bag of "treats" is a bag of some other Fromm formula we got a sample of from the pet store lol.

Thanks for the responses.  Cannoli's breakfast eating only got worse where he wouldn't eat any breakfast.  That is why we added the RX food which initially with it mixed in he would eat his entire breakfast.  Now with it mixed in he probably eats about 75% of his breakfast though it takes more persuading him than it used to.  Dinner was never a problem until the last two days which I always attributed to him just being very hungry since he didn't eat much breakfast.

At Bently's the lady said she likes to mix in either freeze dried food or some chicken patties though she was trying to encourage me to switch away from kibble completely which I don't think I want to do.  Kibble is just so convenient and less costly.  

I'm going to try and switch him to some of the ALS Fromm Four Star varieties that were mentioned.  I'll start with the salmon and see how it goes.  Should I do a cold turkey switch (again remember he's coming from the Puppy formula) or should I wean him over?  Thanks!

We switched Riley over from the Fromm Puppy Gold to the chicken a la veg a few months ago and did a quick 3 day transition just to be cautious.  It went fine for us.  She has no history of digestive issues though.

You can try doing the switch over a few days, just to be on the safe side. Don't be surprised if he tries to pick the new food out of the bowl and just eat that. :)

I buy the freeze-dried Stella & Chewy's nuggets at Bentley's.A small bag costs around $10 and if you only add 3 or 4 nuggets to each meal, like I do, it lasts a good long time. So that might be an option for you instead of the canned, which is also not cheap. :) 
But don't introduce anything new in the way of toppers until you've transitioned him completely and all is well with his digestion.

I might have to check those out. It sounds like it might be more economical than Pure Bites.

I think it is. I buy the 3.5 oz bag. I normally get them at Bentley's, but Pet Supplies Plus had a sale on them recently, so I really saved. Chewy has it too. 
Of course, Jasper is considerably smaller than your girls, so you may need to use more, in which case the bigger bag is probably a better price. Still cheaper than Pure Bites.

Mr. Prince says he is moving to Illinois cuz he wants some nuggets in his breakfast and dinner also.  Of course, he would just pick out the crumbles and leave the kibble.......  LOL   Even if his mom hides behind the door....

I am eating crow!   I am a huge fan of NOT enticing a dog to eat.  Set it down and pick it up if they don't eat.  Well..... Ned has lost several pounds this summer and when one weighs 29 pounds at his heaviest weight ever, losing several pounds is a big deal.  I have taken to lightly sprinkling Ned's food with sample kibble one gets in a give away. It seems to be working, but he will get a rude awakening when we get home in the fall, he's gained his 3 pounds back and he won't be getting any enticements any longer.
