Noah likes to scratch/dig a nest when he's looking for a place to sleep. Whether it's on my comforter, the wood floor, etc. Today when I took him hiking, we stopped to rest for a bit and he found a spot near a tree and he started digging the snow away so he could rest on the soil instead of the snow. It was really funny to watch. Does anyone else's doodle do this?
Halas seems to do this mostly at night, but not as much during other times when he's just settling down for a nap. Here's one of his favorite things to do: I tell him it's bed time, so he gets on my bed and lays down while I'm getting ready for bed (brushing teeth, checking DK one more time to see if I've missed anything, etc.). When I walk in to get into bed, he gets up, moves to the head of the bed, sometimes pushes my pillow off the edge of the bed, and then burrows under the covers and pushes them all the way to the bottom of the bed. He scratches around like he's trying to make a comfy spot for himself, but I think he's just trying to get one last play session in before going to sleep.
Edgar does this too. Just a while ago, before he settled in for an evening nap, he was digging at our hardwood floor. He also does this with our comforter and pillows. It is funny to watch - we just chalked it up to nutty puppy behavior
