My doodle's eye has developed a cloudy cover, he is only 13mos. old
If anyone knows about this, please let me know. Just last week I noticed my dog's left eye is darker than the right. The right eye looks completely normal; black center, honey brown ring......but if you look at the left eye it looks all black. I've never seen this before on him, and it worries me because I noticed this after he was just recently groomed. I don't know if I hadn't seen it before because his hair was always covering his eyes.
If anyone has seen this in their dog or might know what it could be, please don't hesitate to write back. By the way, he acts as if everything is fine, no squinting, no tears, no puffiness. It just looks odd.

Sorry Tori, I have NO experience here. I only hope it's nothing and wish you and your puppy my best...I would call the vet tomorrow and see if you can get your doodle's eyes looked at. Let us know what you find out!

I didn't mention it to the groomer. I think I'll call her tomorrow though.
I am a little peeved at her.....when I came to pick him up she was trying to charge me $10 more, and she made a point to tell me how much "work" he was. What can I say, he is a dog who LOVES the mud, he doesn't want me to brush him, and he has energy.... She was very condensending in her tone. Maybe I should just call and ask if she saw anything in his eye....do you think I should flat out ask if anyone accidently poked it? I'd be worried she'd deny it.

I'm not an expert, but I can't imagine how any product or a "poke" in the eye could cause the kind of thing you're describing. I'd definitely get him to the vet ASAP, just to be on the safe side.

Hi Tori! Our puppy was diagnosed early on with what we thought was cataracts but turned out to be primary lipid keratopothy (common in rabbits apparently) -- it is resolving on its own but can be cause by the way your puppy metabolizes (spelling sorry) her food. I would recommend getting it checked out....

No news yet....my two boys have been sick and out of school since Tuesday.... I haven't been able to get ahold of the groomer...(she hasn't called back yet.) I'm planning to take him in tomorrow. I think I'll be able to break away from my kiddos. I'll update any news.
He still doesn't show any signs of pain of bother with this. Very strange.
