Bubbles needs help

I was wondering if anyone had an update for Bubbles, the puppy rescued and in needs of an operation? Donations were being collected last month. Hope all is well!! Please update.

I just sent an e-mail and will update as soon as I know something. The last we heard, Bubbles had the operation and was running around doing OK. She was still leaking a little and was in a wait and see if things healed and got better. I will let you know.

This just in:

Hi Lynne,
Bubbles is her usual bouncing self. The UTI is under control, but she is on antibiotics for another week just to make sure.
Her leaking is much-improved, but still an issue. She has to be washed down now once a day at most compared to really needing it off and on all day before the surgery.
It is still a wait and see game, because even if a lasar is used to make a hole in her left ureter, it can still cause scar tissue and risk closing off both ureters, which would spell the end of her kidneys.
Her staples come out on Friday, and we will just wait for a while before attempting anything else. I will call the vet again this week to see what his thoughts are.

I still have not received the checks from the Veterinary Specialists clinic. I asked that they be mailed here so that they could be returned by mail to the donors. That vet clinic is really poor at getting things done, which is why I wouldn't trust them to mail the checks back ($400 worth). It takes a week to even get a return phone call. Very frustrating. It certainly can't be that they are afraid I will spend the money, since the checks are made out to the clinic! Please share that info as well: the checks are in limbo, but will be returned to their rightful people as soon as I get them. Will call the vet's office again today.

Thanks for the info. May Bubbles recover completely!! She has a lot of people pulling for her. Thanks for all that cared and are caring. Please let nus know her complete road to happiness.

I Kris to keep my donation (via PayPal) for any post surgical needs Bubbles has. Can you find out if she got it? If not, do you have any suggestions to make sure she gets it and not the vet??
