In the past few weeks, Noah has started greeting dogs differently. He runs up to them, tries to sit right under their chins and just wants to lick their faces. It doesn't matter what size the dog is.... he tries to crawl under a dog if it's smaller than him so he can like the dog's face. I've noticed he only does this to adult dogs. I know in the dog world this is a really rude way to greet other dogs and I'm worried some dog might get mad and bite him. Noah either tries to lick the dog's face or immediately rolls over on his back. He can be really persistent with the face licking. I can't tell if he's being obnoxious or just really submissive now. He reminds me of that kid that wants to hang out with the cool older kids and tries to suck up to them. Is this just a phase? My other dogs have never done this.

Face licking & rolling onto his back are definitely submissive behaviors. He's not being obnoxious. He's saying "Don't worry about me. I respect you & I'm no threat to you!" Not sure if it's just a phase, though. How old is Noah?
I'm curious what the trainers had to say.

Max is 3 months old and he walks up to dogs and starts pawing at them. I worry that he too will be bitten because of this behavior - not sure how dog's perceive this.
