This story will truly make you sick, and I am sorry to ruin your day by putting it here in our wonderful community. I thought it might be important for some of our breeders to know about, this may have been one of theirs. (I sure hope not.)

That idiot should lose his kids, too. Imagine, dog is dead, but probably in a better place. Those children have to live with that for the rest of their lives. Sick...

OMG...............Unbelieveable!!!!!!!! How on earth could someone do this to a sweet animal. VERY VERY sad :( Yes, I am with you Lynne, the man should lose his kids. Most likely if this man has that kind of anger to do this to an innocent animal, he is doing it to women and children too...............sickening!!!!

People should have to be licensed to have children or at least go through psych testing. Those kids are now scarred for life. If they don't get counseling, they will become like him someday. Where was the mother? Like Tamara said, someone doesn't just start doing this out of the blue. He should be evaluated for child and spousal abuse. He needs to be put on Do Not Adopt Lists all across the country for the rest of his life and no-one should adopt another dog to him. He will be placed on ours at the DRRC and I will crosspost to others.

So either the husband has custody (!!!!!!!!) or the kids were visiting him at the time.

My heart is just broken for this poor doodle.

I cannot even open the story. People laughed when I explained the application and interview process I had to go through with RAGOM (Rescue A Golden Of Minnesota) in order to adopt Fozzy Bear. I wish everyone that wanted a dog had to go through this process.

I hope his estranged wife takes away ALL custody rights that man has. That is disgusting in the first place, but then to do it in front of his kids.

I read this only because I grew up in WI. It makes me so angry.I agree with everyone,let him rot in Jail next to Micheal Vick only a longer sentence. Those poor kids.

Here's an article which explains the situation; the parents are getting divorced & father had the kids for the day. The 3-yr-old labradoodle was left alone for 8 hours, and had an accident in the house...that was his death sentence.
