Hi. I'm planning a doodle romp for June and would like some ideas/suggestions/input from those who have put one on or attended one that had "events" or booths or prizes, etc. We have had several romps but they have been informal get-togethers. I would like to have an activity schedule but don't know where to start. Any and all ideas are welcome!!!! Thank you!

In my opinion unless you want to be running around a lot, it's best to keep it simple. The joy of oodles of doodles running around together is the best part.
My first "big" (13-14 doodles) romp I hosted made me feel like I missed out on most of it because I was doing so much "hosting": waiting at the gate, getting people signed in, making sure people had beverages if they wanted them, doing a raffle, handing out IDOG fliers, etc.
But some ideas if you want to have activities:
-- doodle competitions for 'best smile' or 'silly tricks'
-- buy some doodle related items (or get some stores/businesses to donate) to raffle off
-- if you have dog product vendors (even PetCo or PetSmart) in your area...and your romp will be big enough to attract their business, contact them to set up a booth and they can give out freebies.
That's all I can think of. My preference is 'informal' and relaxed, maybe have beverages for the humans, but nothing more complicated than that.
If they are not all your pups, but will include locals who may not know alot about doodles, then have fliers printed from IDOG and... ;-) of course ;-) our Doodle Kisses flyer =)
