Prayer Request
Hi All,
Today I have to go to court because of my son. I do not want to get into details, but needless to say because of his abuse I had to get a PFA (Protection from Abuse) order against him. I did get a temporary one which also allowed me to stay in their house till it is heard today. I don't mind getting out, and left there even though I did not have to, what bothers me the most is I am traveling over 45 miles one way to go up to feed my bird, and was going to make arrangements to move her this weekend because her floor standing cage does not fit in my car. But, again I have the right to stay there, but didn't want more problems so trying to be the bigger person I left and go back and forth to feed her, when he is not around. I did not abandon her, she is not in any imment danger. Wednesday after I left feeding my bird, and taking pictures, my son went and called this Vet in Saylorsburg PA, called Creature Comfort and had a techinician come to the house and she made him sign papers to adopted my bird. He (Stole and falsely )gave my bird away. I have had this bird for over 16 years now, I paid 1,200.00 for this African Gray parrott, her pic on my page. I have done nothing wrong what so ever, and NO one not even the State Police will help me to get my bird back. I don't deserve this, neither does my bird. We have never been apart in 16 years, and this is killing me inside. This is like stealing a child to me, so please if you can find the time say a prayer for me and Shadow, so she comes home today with Hannah, Honey and I. Also if you feel this Vet and their office is doing wrong by keeping my bird who was falsely adopted out in 1 days time, please call them and let them know they are wrong for doing this. I am contacting the News, Attorneys, Attorney General Office Consumer Protection, Whatever it takes to get my bird back....help to bring her home please. Did the order of protection inlcude all your fur and feather kids? Bring it up in court today, maybe this judge had a heart. Bring in all your papers proving ownership.

Sorry to say PFAs dont cover Fur and Feather kids, although they should when the owners of them love them so much, I don't have her papers anymore for ownership, its been like16 years since 92 or 93... I bought her. I have pics of her and just took pics the morning he did this to her, that I was there and feeding her. The breeder who I got her off of, is no longer in business, but I do know how to get ahold of her and doing that on my way into court this morning. Hi All,
What a screwed up day, the Judge did not give me the final PFA against my son. His girlfriend did nothing but sit and laugh in the court room, thought it was funny, and this Judge did nothing. Either way we (Furbabies and I) are moving out, so it does not much matter as far as that goes, as far as I am concerned "I do not have any son." As for my bird Shadow, the Judge again did nothing, said it was not his jurisdiction to rule over, he can only do PFA's. I should go to the magistrate office and file criminal charges against my son, and whom ever has the bird. I go to the magistrate office to file, and the magistrate tells me I have to go to the County Deputy Sheriff's Office. By now I'm starting to flip out, the Cops wont do anything, a Judge wont do anything, a Magistrate wont do anything....this is theft and he can just do this. So okay I take my butt to the CDS. Office and explaing this all again to another person. By now its the Yo Yo effect I'm starting to feel. Well finally he gets on the phone with the Vet's office who adopted her out of, and tells them they need to return this bird. I was able to obtain a letter from the woman who I purchased her from, proving Shadow belonged to me. We are in the process of making arrangements to pick her up tonight or tomorrow afternoon. I pray to God she will be alright as birds can be very tempermental with weather changes. I still think this is worth contacting the News about, how our goverment system works and how "SOME" Police and Judges really protect and serve. What a disgrace.

The legal system is a mess, trying to weave your way through can be impossible at best.
I am so glad you get your sweet parrot back, and the only way to look now is forward.
Move out and move on....and know that you have buddies here to listen....

Well one thing good will come from all of this, Hannah, Honey, Shadow and I will be in a calmer loving home and not around someone who is abusive. Amen!
