Rutlands Li'l Brett, a final good -bye

Rutlands's Li'l Brett, has passed away.
He was imported from Australia, by Dorothy Moreau of Primetime Labradoodles. His owners at the time of his death are Connie and John King , of Rivermist Labradoodles. A chocolate miniature, So many parti doodles are children, grand children, great grandchildren and so on, of Brett's. He can be found in the pedigrees of many miniature, chocolate doodles. I could always pick out a Brett kid, that head and face, that total beautiful expression the sturdy body, the coats, and what mellow, loving personalities. !!!!
I have bred 2 of my doodle girls to Brett, and kept a puppy from each litter. They are exquisite.

Brett made his mark in the Australian Labraoodle world, his legacy will live on in his offspring, and their offspring. Regretably I did not get to meet Brett.

Dear Ann, Connie , John, Dorothy and Lora,

This is a prayer that was sent to me from the wonderful people at DogTown. I am so sorry for your loss of Li'l Brett.

God of all creatures, ease our grief today as we bid farewell to Li'l Brett, whose passing leaves a gap in our family circle.  He demanded so little of us – fresh water, food, a patch of sunlight for sun-bathing, our presence – and gave so much in return – uncritical, undemanding, unlimited affection and devotion for all of us.  Greeting each day, each moment, happily on its own terms, he showed us how to live in the present rather than regret the past or worry about the future.  His easy forgiveness of our flaws, his inability to hold a grudge, gave us an example of grace.  Creator, we’re grateful for being allowed to share his life for our allotted time.  We will miss him bounding through our family life, but he will always be present in our hearts.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Ann, As you said, so many ALD owners have dogs descended fro Li'l Brett. I am sure they would want to know.

Lil Brett was Max's Great-Grandpa. Our condolances to Connie, John, Dorothy and Lora. Thanks Lil Brett for being part of Max's heritage.

I am very sorry to hear this news....Cooper is a Brett baby born 6/22/2008. We are sad to learn of Brett's passing. I am so sorry for your loss Connie and John.
