Does your doodle hide his/her treats or bones?

When I give Kensi a treat or bone she immediately starts pacing the living room trying to find somewhere to stash it. Under pillows, between cushions, her bed etc. If she feels like she can't find a good spot she starts whining while pacing around, it is hilarious. She looks so distraught that she can't find a good spot.

Does any of your doods hide their treats?

Yes!! Jordan will hide her bones.She whimpers walking around looking where to hide it.I have bones everywhere in house. Sometimes out in the open like along the wall or in the couch. I thought she did it because of Payton our other dog.
Sometimes I will take the bones she is walking around with and hide them for her. She seems to like when I help.

My Allie does that!!!!! and she tries to cover them with her nose, she must think that she is covering them with dirt... but she doesn't do that outside...

Samantha doesn't allow them to last long enough to hide. She just loves to chew so they don't last long.
My Beardie Collie, Maggie, who now lives at Rainbow Bridge, would hide them. I moved a chair that has a cushion after she passed away and found a huge dog biscuit. I laughed, cried and put it back. 7 years later it is still there. I just can't bear to throw it out.

Thanks!! She was such a wonderful friend and she helped raise my 2 daughters to be animal lovers. I really miss her. She was my dancing partner - Samantha refuses to learn LOL -

Awww, great story about your Maggie! I wish I knew about this website before I brought a doodle home because there are several things he does (which are apparently normal, shared doodle behaviors) which led me to believe he was a bit crazy! hahaha! I love watching Brooks try and find a place to put his bone - he'll whine too and i love when he digs and uses his nose to put imaginary dirt to cover his bone - as if I can't see it! hahaha...god, I love these dogs!

kensi uses her nose to move invisible "dirt" to cover her bones as well!! It is so funny to watch her pace around the house whining trying to find the perfect hiding spot!

Zeke tries to hide his treats from Lily, not to come back later but as he is eating them. Lily is a bit of a treat and toy bully so Zeke will wedge himself into a tight space between chairs or turn his back to her wherever he is to eat his treats. If she can get to them she will take them right out of his mouth. He never fights for them, he has always let her just have them. His hiding is as agressive as he gets!
