I got an email just minutes ago...these two were needing a new home and were placed according to my girlfriend yesterday. Thanks for everthing. I hope this was not a fluke. Love to all..Lizette

It isn't actually a hoax it turns out...it just spread like wildfire without the happy ending spreading with it...if you check Lake Girl's first post...you will see links to the completes story on Snopes.

Well what matters most is if they needed rehoming, hopefully they are in a good home together and happy.
