Probably the most disturbing thing I have EVER witnessed happened to my poor little Noah at the dog park yesterday. As soon as we got there, a large chihuahua became fixated on Noah and tried to hump him. I pulled the dog off of him and saw the chihauhua's "red rocket" hanging out. The chihuahua then proceeded to lick and BITE his red rocket for about 10 minutes straight. As he was doing this, he was spinning around in circles and ejaculating. I tried to keep Noah as far away from the chihuahua as possible, but it ran back over to Noah and humped him again and got "stuff" on Noah. Everyone was taking pictures of this chihuahua because they said no one would believe them without a picture. I would have been so embarrassed if that was my dog. I didn't even know dogs could do this! We left the x-rated side of the dog park and moved over to the g-rated side. This is definitely a case where a dog needs to get neutered!!!

Ahahaha!! You guys crack me up!! :)
A Yorkie is what violated Max last week. He wouldn't let go of his leg. I laughed and thought - Now you know how I feel Max!

All kidding aside - I do hope Noah is okay and I feel really bad for the little guy!
I agree...humping in public...always a bad idea.

:o)
Moose & Mica ~ UMM, yeah, well, I don't think the humping is the big issue here. It is more like the self gratification/s &m business that accompanied that. If I ever dog do that - I would RUN LIKE HELL ! Can you imagine if it was a german shepard?! This dog was a sexual deviant!
My dog is a violator. Not as dramatic as this boy sounded but.... I have to keep an eye on him at the dog park... but certainly never did I photograph or film any of the "nasty".
Gotta love the leather leash comment, Adina and Mommy2 LMAO
Okay!

So - what comes around goes around.

Guess what. Max violated another dog, in the face, at daycare!

I'm mortified and apologized as well as offered to pay for grooming or shampoo or something. The daycare was fine with it as well as the owners of the victim. The owners even joked about it so, they truly were fine. I'm not. Max looks like he wants a cigarette.

My question: What can I do to stop his humping. He's never taken it this far. He doesn't try humping legs much anymore because I'm on top of it. Nor does he get this far at a dog park because I stop the behavior immediately.

Jane if you read this - what do you think would be a nice gesture to the owners. I was thinking a treat for the dog or something. The daycare said I didn't need to do a thing but, still?!

I know two dogs that definately had a bath this evening. :(

He was neutered a month ago.

They do monitor it but, I guess with all those dogs things do happen. I was thinking that maybe if he was with the more aggressive dogs he would learn. Not that i want him hurt but, I do want him to learn a lesson. They suggested he go more frequently.

I'll get the other dog a chew toy. I'll find out what he likes. :)

Yeah - I'm humanizing this. I just feel so grossed and bad for the other dog.
That's really nice of you to offer to pay for a shampooing, etc. I know I would have appreciated the gesture if I were the dog's owner. :)

Maybe you could give Max something to hump at home, like a big pillow or a big stuffed animal. Ya know, let him "get it out of his system" at home instead of daycare! Hahaha! I don't know, just a thought! Cricket has two big stuffed animals that she likes to hump. We just let her do her thing (though it can be distracting when you're trying to watch tv and she's humping in front of it!) I think she does it sometimes to relieve stress, so we're okay with it. :)
It's a good thought. Unfortunately, Max does't do it at home anymore. I, apparently, drove that point home very well. He will jump our leg every so often but, that is over excitment and him trying to see where he fits in. My other problem with that suggestion would be the fact that yesterday - he uhhmmm - how do I say this...tried to impregnate the dog's face. I would never clean that up at home. :D I love him but, not enough to clean up his manhood - at least if I could help it.

Gosh - how embarrassing!
Our collie has been a humper since he was a puppy. He was neutered @ 6 months, but the humping continued. He would hump our newfie when he was trying to get him to play -- no, not sex games LOL. Anyway, when Connor arrived, the collie started humping him like crazy (both over his rump and over his head). We even had a "no hump" command. I took a class on Pack Reordering in March to make sure I was being a good alpha mama. One of the first things we were taught was in a pack, only the alpha is allowed to make, so do not allow humping. I got out the Sprite can with the pennies in it & corrected the doodle and collie whenever either would start it (mainly the collie). Within a couple of days, all the humping stopped and we have been a hump-free house since.
