Aussie Doodle? Standard Aussie and Standard Poodle- personality and temperment?

Anyone know a AussiePoo or Aussie Doodle. There are 3 sizes I am interested in any thoughts on the standard mix.. I met 2 pup recently. One might have had OCD ( at 8 weeks) very head strong and determined... One that was the mellowest pup I have ever met.. ( long legs and big feet - more std poodle? than Aussie) They were from the same litter...

Both BEAUTIFUL pup.. one blue merle one black with white chest..
I can't find too much on them.. These must be very smart dog.. 2 of the smartest breeds?
Any information would be appreciated.

I was looking if anyone already has one and would share about the personality and temperment?
How much like Aussie? How much like Doodle?

My goldendoodle is so mellow and loving I can't imagine I could get that lucky 2X

Contact Laurie at Abounding Grace Doodles. She breeds beautiful, health tested Aussiedoodles and is expecting a litter soon.
I have one of Lauries pups (www.aboundinggracedoodles.com) from the previous Ruthie/Rhett litter and she is amazing. Not nearly as high-energy as a full Aussie, but definitely a character. She was probably the most active one in the bunch and even tho she has her crazy moments, she is also very likely to just grab a toy and chew on it or crash out on the tile floor to cool off. She has been very easy to train and aims to please. Two of her sisters are alot more laid back so you can't fail to find a perferct match.

Laurie's new litter (Ruthie and Rhett) arrived last Thursday/Friday and they look beautiful. There are 5 chocolate girls, one chocolate boy and 5 merle boys.
I would like to read replies to this as well. I recently saw online a goldendoodle breeder that does labradoodles, double doodles (aka North American Retriever) and Aussie Doodles. What I have read though about Aussie Shepherds is they are working dogs so high strung and energetic and can go nuts without adequate excercise and mental stimulation to keep them busy. I would love to hear opinions on Double Doodles as well.
Double Doodles or North American Retrievers really can't be too different from either the LD or GD as both are fairly similar on average. We have a few members with this mix. Blazing Star Doodles and Lincoln Manor and Westwood Labradoodles are a few breeders who are doing the NAR off the top of my head.
Great post...with any mix it comes down to: Could you/would you be able to live with either parent breed? If so...great! If not, another breed or mix might be better.
Jane - you gave a great answer to this. My cousin has 3 australian shepherds - she lived on 12 acres in Maine and now lives on 1/2 acre in a Wisconsin subdivision. (job change). She's ready to pull her hair out. They need room to run and do their job. GR are much more laidback.
I think 'typical' aussiedoodle falls in the range you described above. Might be mellow, but also likely to be high energy because half of its genes come from a herding breed. So it just depends on the parents and your choice in puppy from any given litter. There is a group here on Doodle Kisses just for owners of Aussiedoodles...might want to pop in there and see who has one and pick their brains =)
All this talk about whoodles and aussiedoodles! I would love to get my hands on one of those adorable bassetdoodles! Although DH would kill me as he has an aversion to all creatures short-legged (he was a giraffe in his last life).
g~ see my reply in in the aussiedoodle group forum :O)
I have a 9 year old Australian Shepherd, I love her dearly but she has not been an 'easy' dog to train, or to live with. She is aloof, and highly reactive. It is as if she is on alert 24/7, I swear the dog never relaxes...my labradoodle puppy is a happy go lucky docile guy who looks at the Aussie as if to say "what are you always so worried about?". I have seen aussiedoodles, they are beautiful but honestly I think a goldendoodle or labradoodle has the nicest temperment
Does anyone know much about Berniedoodles (bernese mountan dog/poodle)? I've met a few at the park and they are gorgeous.
We have one member who just bought her second bernese-poodle mix. If you look through old blogs you'll see her write about hers.
