Doggie Lifejackets- Fido Float, Petfloat?
Just wondering if anyone has the “Crewsaver Petfloat” or “Fido Float” doggie lifejackets? I’m thinking about buying a lifejacket for our younger doodle, Cricket, and am considering those two brands.

We have a “Ruff Wear K-9 Float Coat” for our older doodle, Boo, which we like. My only gripe is that there isn’t a chest strap (i.e., a strap that goes in-between the front legs, connecting the neckpiece to the belly strap.) I think the chest strap would be more comfortable when you’re hoisting the dog out of the water. (Hoisting our dogs out of the water with the Float Coat always seems a bit awkward.) Plus it seems like the Float Coat needs to be on very snuggly to get a proper fit.
There don’t seem to be many doggie lifevests with the chest strap. The Petfloat and the Fido Float were the only ones I could find. Anyone thoughts/insights? Thanks much! :)
Oh and here’s Boo with his K-9 Float Coat. Doesn’t he look thrilled? Poor kid, he doesn’t like getting wet. ;)
And here’s his younger sister borrowing his lifejacket. She loves water so she did much better! :)

We use the Ruff Wear for our two 55 and 63 poind doodles. We haven't had any problem hoisting them out. I'm not familiar with the 2 that you are considering, sorry.

Sharon--my only concern about the chest strap you seek is that it may impede them from actually hoisting their legs up and forward for swimming--they need good range of mobility to learn how to properly use their front legs for swimming (keeping them in the water and not splashing hard on the surface, ya know ;) )...Mija has the kind that Boo has---and it has worked beautifully for us MANY times...the strap on the back is perfect for pulling them up and out of the water and back into the boat! Either way--CRICKET GETS TO GO SWIMMING, YIPPEEE!!! HAVE FUN!
