Hey everyone!

I was just wondering what you all use to prevent fleas, ticks and heart worms. Right now marley is on Revolution (its everything in one topical treatment), but I am not totally thrilled with it. It seems very early in the season and we have already found 2 ticks on Marley, both of which were latched on, and the first one was HUGE!!!!!! I am worried that its not working the way its supposed to and thinking of trying something new. We live downtown and have a fenced in yard, although both times we have found the ticks its been after he visited either of our parnets, who have more land.

Any help or thoughts would be great!!!!!!

Thanks and hope everyone is doing well!

I use Confortis and even though I it is flea prevention my self and my vet have not been finding a problem with ticks while using it.
So I switched Duff to Advantix and Iverheart on Friday and there were no signs of ticks after our trip to the river Sunday. I think it's a good sign!
We have tried frontline and are currently using Advantix with Elmo. He still seems to get ticks throughout the year, particularly during tick season in the fall. I have had multiple discussions with various people, including our vet about this. There is a theory that because the doodles have hair versus fur, their skin does not have the same amount of oil that spreads the medicine as effectively. I spoke with several poodle owners about this. Unfortunately I have not found a solution though we do now get Elmo the lymes disease vaccination.
