Curious to hear from Aussiedoodle owners about the temperament of their dogs and the age? Trying to get a feel for this new mix, and hoping to hear from the actual owners. Thank you Terri

hi terri..i have 2 aussiedoodles.edie is 8 months and charlie is 3 months. i ahev had herding dogs my entire life (go to my page to see my most recent pack which edie and charlie ahve joined.
i can tell you that the temperment of these dogs is unbelievable. of course, like all puppies, they love to play and zoom around...when they are quiet...,i can barely find the words to describe them...kind...gentle..more then that...both were born and began their lives at doodlesville. nancy and sreve are the breeders (nancy is on this site) i have known many breeders and "dog people" over the years. without question, nancy and steve are the best...thay shower all of "their babies" with love. and...they truly mean it when they say that they want to know how their pups progress. my wee charlie broke his leg last week :O( and nancy has been a constant source of support in the struggle to get him well.if you have ANY questions, i am happy to answer them .
My almost 2 year old 4th gen Australian Labradoodle, Ditto, is the sweetest dog imaginable (we got her from Harmony Labradoodles in Los Altos, Ca.). She's lively when we want to play and mellow when we are busy elsewhere. She was certified as a Canine Good Citizen at just over 1 year of age and recently earned her Therapy Dog certification. We visit the local family shelter where she does tricks for the kids and will chase the ball for hours. She's great with all people and other dogs, even with little kids who are less than gentle. She'll hike with me for miles, or be happy with just a walk around the neighborhood. Most all multi-gen Doodles I've met are the same. Smart, friendly, fun. What a wonderful breed! Lisa in San Jose.
Hey Lisa, just to clear up, Terri was looking for info on Aussiedoodles as in Australian Shepherd x Poodle cross rather than the Australian Labradoodle. The two terms are so close it is easy to mistake one for the other.
Hi Terri - I have a 6 1/2 month old Aussiedoodle (Australian Shepherd and Std Poodle) and she is quite a lover. She loves all people and all dogs. She can be very active and needs to run a bit steam off now and again, but she also has an 'off-switch' and can just 'be'. She is very clever and learns very, very quickly. She has a bit more of the Aussie traits and is very aware of everything going on around her. Two of her sisters from the same litter are alot more laid back and are excellent candiates for Good Canine Citizen work or Therapy dogs.

I got her from Abounding Grace Doodles (www.aboundinggracedoodles.com) and there is a second litter from the same parents that was just born last week. Laurie is so caring and supportive and loves and cares for these dogs like I do my own.

Hello. We live in Gainesville, FL and are interested in meeting an aussiedoodle. I am pretty confident this is the breed for us, but we have not met one yet. We would like a medium-sized one (20 - 40 lbs) and are interested in agility competitions. We are interested in learning about this type of dog and about aussiedoodle breeders that are located in FL and GA. Thanks!!
