It is easy to find places that will let dogs come and stay - the only hurdle we found is the weight limit - some only allow up to 20 lbs and Samantha hasn't seen 20 lbs since she was 12 weeks old. The nicest and least expensive for a 1 bedroom suite (includes a full kitchen) is the Candlewood Suites. Not a palace but clean and free internet - can't be away from DK very long!!
We were in Miami Beach for 6 weeks. South Beach restaurants (not just the tourist trap of SB) - with outdoor tables had no problem with Samantha being there - but you really have tocall and find out. Other towns would not allow her there. Cheesecake Factory would not allow here - even outside tables. They are off my favorite places to eat. It seems it is a corporate thing.
Beaches - in Miami there are dog beaches specially for them.
- in NJ there is a year round beach, Manasquan Inlet. The others are off-season only. Some may allow them on early am.

Southern California:
Lowes Coronado Hotel seeems to love all size dogs. There was everything from three small Shih Tzu on one leash, to a giant German Shepard and everything in between.
Up the coast in Cambria, Cambria Shores Inn allows pets. I saw a woman sitting out front of her room that overlooks the ocean, with a large Standard Poodle siiting in a chair beside her, watching the sea.
In Orange County, Huntington Beach has it's own beach for dogs. Balboa Island appears dog friendly.
The City of Carmel, in Northern Ca. has water bowls out in front of the shops for dogs.

We own a coffeehouse in Urbana Ohio. It is a 115 year old totally restored train depot. It is also on the bike path that connects from Urbana to Cinci. We are definitly dog friendly so if you are in Ohio and want to take a ride and day out with your dog come see us! We also have a great dog bakery where treats are made daily. We just got back from a short vacation to Jekyll Island GA, about 400 miles away from where we live. The pups loved the beach, it was their first time to really play in the water. Jekyll is a very pet friendly place with several motels accepting pets and pets are allowed on the beach any time on a leash. We encountered many friendly dogs and most people were glad to meet the doodles. There are numerous walking paths and several beaches to exercise. At all the beach access areas and picnic areas there are poop bags available as well as at our hotel. We booked a handicapped room with a walk- in shower so we could clean up after romping at the beach. p.s. Lily loved the bed!

In Door County their is an outdoor restaurant in Fish Creek that allows dogs they give your dog a bowl of water and a doggie treat

We were stranded in PA after the WPA Dog Romp in May. We stayed at the Sheraton! We were offered a dog bed and dog bowls, brought to our room, compliments of this great hotel--Erie PA, Sheraton.

LAZY L Bed and Breakfast, Lewes, DE
We are staying at this B&B for the Dewey Beach Doodle Romp. Great Place. We went this past week to check it out. It is on a creek, is all about dogs! Has a dog run, and you can even take your dog to breakfast with you. I was very impressed! They also give out info on dog friendly places to go in the surrounding area.
