I Got My Doodle!!!

I am just so excited I could just explode, lol....My Darling Husband suprised me tonight with the cutest 8and 1/2 week old goldendoodle, I nearly fainted on the spot...This was a belated 39th Anniversary Gift for me...He knew how much I wanted a doodle, and now we have one...So I just wanted everyone to know I am an official doodle person and owner, lol....We have a 11 yr old Aussie, and he was just so gentle with him tonight....I knew he would be great with another dog, he misses the one we had to put to sleep last year...I am hoping that these two will have the same type of relationship...I was thinking of the name Oliver for him, or Ollie, but not sure yet, lol....So that's my news for today.....Cheryl

thanks Eileen, I am so excited, I haven't had to deal with a puppy in about 15 years, so I have to puppy proof the house. I do roll up the very expensive area rug in the den, lol, if he is going to pee he is not going to do it on that rug, lol...thank you again

I am going to get my son to post a pivture of him this weekend, I am totally computer illiterate when it comes to doing pictures, so I will do it over the weeeknd. I have to read on herre how to post pictures, lol

he should end up weighing around 40-45 lbs, but who knows, according to hubby he was the the little guy of the litter, lol....

thank you for the congrats, now if I can remember how to train and housebreak a pup, it has been a very long time, like 15 yrs since I have had a pup, but I will ask for help and advice from the board, lol

ty for your well wishes, he is just soooo cute, lol, but this is going to be a challenge....he is kind of small, and when i take him out, can't tell if he has peed or not, lol

That is such fantastic news!! Ollie - I love it! Can't wait to see the pictures. I guess you will be in lots of training - all that puppy stuff and ways of uploading pictures for you to share with us in DK!! You will be a very, very busy DM!!

u have got that sooo right, it has been a very long time since i had a puppy, lol, have to remember how to train and housebreak again, but i am hoping that Renny will help me, lol, he seems to like him well enough, lol, ty for the well wishes.

The easiest part of training Cody was to Pee and Poop outside on command. Every time he did either I used the words and gave a treat. Now when I am in a rush, I can take him out and tell him to pee or poop and he does it. Another reminder, doodles are very mouthy as pups. Do not encourage this. Good luck,
